I seriously wonder what Tencent is thinking expanding overseas. The IM market is pretty saturated — look at the relative lack of penetration GTalk has, despite Google’s weight being behind it — and QQ is just … funky.

I can just see the “a Chinese hacker exchanged my life savings into QQ币 and ran away with it” stories appearing on American local news broadcasts soon.
