Did a bit more reading and yes, the data is China internal. According to the report, the data was collected from 81 million + computers (includes company subscribers).

Rising is a Chinese A/V company and it is my understanding that these stats are taken from China internal. When I looked up their top-10 viruses for the year:

1、线上游戏窃取者（Trojan.PSW.Win32.GameOL）
　　2、安德夫木马（Trojan.Win32.Undef）
　　3、梅勒斯Rootkit（RootKit.Win32.Mnless）
　　4、Flash漏洞攻击器（Hack.Exploit.Swf）
　　5、奇迹木马（Trojan.PSW.SunOnline）
　　6、安德夫Rootkit（RootKit.Win32.Undef）
　　7、西游木马（Trojan.PSW.Win32.XYOnline）　　
8、POPHOT点击器（Trojan.Clicker.Win32.PopHot）
　　9、代理蠕虫（Worm.Win32.Agent）
　　10、QQ通行证木马（Trojan.PSW.Win32.QQPass）

Just about all seemed to be Chinese origin. Search for the virus using English and you will find an explanation for each (normally by Rising, English version).

In what context is this data? Is this Rising A/V used primarily inside China or outside? Is it detecting the number of infections found internally to China by Rising on its customer’s systems or is this reporting the number of Chinese Virus/Trojans found? Just looking for some clarifications as to whether these are internal infections on chinese businesses or not. Makes a huge difference in the stats I continue research. Thanks. Cyber
