This blog is at least a solid 8.1…maybe an 8.2!!

Published by at 4:55 pm under Uncategorized

Received an e-mail today from www.blogged.com that has rated us as follows:

We evaluated your blog based on the following criteria: Frequency of Updates, Relevance of Content, Site Design, and Writing Style.

After carefully reviewing each of these criteria, your site was given its 8.0 score.

An 8.0…I mean WTF? I strongly suspect that Jumper has pulled the blog down from my own unbiased rating of around 8.15 prior to his arrival.

An 8.0 is great? Not in my book buddy, that is like low hanging “B” work. We at TDV vow to increase the quality of our postings, we will spare nothing to move up the ladder at blogged.com…unless of course it involves too much effort.

    @Heike -

I have traveled through life with one single goal: absolute mediocrity.

Congratulations to me. Sorry for your failure though.

Out of pure vanity, I looked up Tao Security and guess what? We tied! Dancing over here baby. :)

    I think you’re doing great.

You’re one of the three security blogs I read daily (as part of my morning coffee in FF). Your competitor is one of the other 2.

Yeah, I’d like to see a defination of their criteria. You’re doing a great job and don’t pay any attention to that. It is what your readers think that counts.

Thanks guys!!! You know, the very best part of having a website is getting to meet terrific people like the two of you. Jumper and I really do appreciate the support we have received from everyone!

Though a newcomer to your site, I think No. 1 your site is grounded in reality… No. 2 you make difficult things to understand, like tech talk …easy to get a handle on. No. 3 your articles are short enough for for people whom like to hear/see their news on line that we can read through it and walk a way filled with interesting updates and thoughts. For people whom like to read and read there is also that avenue.
Going through the archives visitors should really check one important feature….Leave a Reply
It’s a recipe for social interaction, information exchange and expert details
I would have rated it much higher…I have listen to alot China experts and feel so much of what is said today in your specific area and in general has been over processed so much it has lost it’s flavor…when I walked into your site and sat down, the real flavor of China was easy to discern.
thanks team at The Dark Vistor
ps. Talked to the Editor in Chiief at English Epoch Times about your site, his name is John Nania at johnnania@epochtimes.com
He said thanks for the post, take care

    Gao and T,

You guys have been great members of this website and we hope to keep you around for a long time. We really appreciate all the excellent comments and fostering a sense of community.

Thank you both so much for the encouragement…even though Jumper and I really don’t take these evaluations too seriously.

People like the two of you spark debate and that is one of things we would really like to see happen around here.

As long as you don’t disagree with me! :)
